Transformation

You are interested in life transformation  for yourself or your family...

Most of us live fulfilling, busy, complicated, and happy lives!  We go about our days working, going to school, enjoying family and friends, and participating in life activities. However, for many of us there are seasons of life where roadblocks litter the path on every side, hope may be lost, relationships strained, sense of purpose waning, and survival or "just getting by" is the only option. In these times, choosing to work with a professional counselor is a gift and an investment in yourself, your relationships, and your family.  Furthermore, if your child or adolescent seems to be suffering from depression, anxiety, sudden dropping of grades, significant change in personality, etc., a counselor can work with your child and family, in a caring, attentive, and professional setting to resolve immediate concerns and attend to any larger issues that may be present.

Children, Adolescents, and Families

Children often experience adjustment issues after experiencing trauma or a significant life change, leading to a need for therapeutic help.
Adolescents experience a wide range of difficult life choices on a daily basis including grades, friends, family relationships and expectations, gender roles, sexuality, etc.
Families are the central point in the life of children and adolescents.  Daily interactions, modeling, discipline, values, and every other piece of family life molds and shapes the lives of children and adolescents.  Regular meeting with families will be an important part of working with children and adolescents.

Couples

The lives of couples vary dramatically.  Some relationships thrive in circumstances that would separate others.  However, in most relationships, both people desire to feel safe emotionally and physically with their partner, and to experience a connection with their partner that most would call love.  Furthermore, most problems symptomatically surface around issues of money, sex, children, or career, however most are connected to life and relationship issues that are deeper.

Men in Transition

The lives of men are often divided into distinct worlds of work, family, health, play, etc.  When one of these worlds falls apart or is no longer satisfying the fallout can often be depression, addiction, loneliness, infidelity, or the crumbling of the other worlds.  Working with a counselor, one may find balance and integration of these worlds by addressing difficulties in relationships, engaging anxieties and fears around body image and significant physical changes, determining and working through work related issues, etc.
